Brussels, 14 January 2026. At its most recent meeting, the Supervisory Board of finance&invest.brussels unanimously approved the appointment of Béatrice de Mahieu as Deputy CEO and Vice-Chair of the Executive Board, in order to ensure continuity in the governance of the regional investment organisation. A consistent and dedicated career path
With over 25 years’ experience, Béatrice de Mahieu has held positions within international groups such as Telenet and Microsoft, before establishing herself as a recognised figure in entrepreneurship and innovation, notably as CEO of CoStation, a pioneer in the coworking sector, and subsequently of BeCode, a leading player in social impact and digital training.
At the same time, she holds several directorships and serves on investment committees, notably at Proximus, Trividend, the Les Petits Riens Foundation, Miles Ahead, Akkanto and VLAIO.
« This new professional challenge is a natural progression in my career and represents the culmination of my experiences and commitments. It enables me to put them to good use for a key player in Brussels’ economic development, with a view to creating sustainable value and making a positive impact », explains Béatrice de Mahieu.
The appointment of Béatrice de Mahieu follows a selection process lasting several months, conducted by an independent recruitment firm, during which shortlisted candidates were interviewed by a panel of experts comprising, in particular, the Chair of the Supervisory Board and the CEO of finance&invest.brussels, as well as representatives of public and private shareholders. The Supervisory Board subsequently selected her on the basis of her career background, commitment and expertise. Béatrice de Mahieu will join finance&invest.brussels on 2 February 2026, once she has stepped down from her current role as CEO of BeCode, in order to ensure a smooth transition that respects her ongoing commitments.
